RTÉ ‘Boost my Business’ initiative for SME sector
RTÉ strives to ensure that Irish citizens are informed and connected to the issues that matter. Small and medium enterprises are integral Ireland’s economy and our communities and so RTÉ is launching an initiative specifically intended to provide support to this sector.
BOOST MY BUSINESS Helping Irish Business Bounce Back
Online and on air, RTÉ will support and promote small and medium enterprises all over the country, as they deal with the challenges and the opportunities that lie ahead. With a 94% weekly reach across adults in Ireland across all services, RTÉ is uniquely placed to help mobilise public awareness and support for the local economy.

With over 5.5 million unique browsers per month, the profile, trust, and reach of RTÉ.ie makes it a hugely valuable digital channel for businesses.It is also the primary online resource for the diaspora in terms of Irish news and content. A new, dedicated section of the website will feature a range of Irish businesses and specialist resources.

The website will showcase some of the businesses that sustain our local communities; from emerging artisan food companies to generational local barbers, to medium size enterprise with global ambition. The website will also offer information and resources aimed at supporting Irish businesses with advice, case studies, interviews and information pertaining to the challenges and opportunities faced by small to medium sized businesses in Ireland – particularly during the Covid pandemic.
Brand-new series on television and on radio
RTÉ One and RTÉ Radio 1 will launch two new series, due to air this summer.
Open for Business is a brand-new studio-based series for RTÉ One and will be broadcast from Tuesday, 21st of July. Presented by journalists & broadcasters Richard Curran & Ella McSweeney, the series will share the stories of businesses at the coalface – their difficulties, frustrations, innovation and adaptability, through case studies & interviews from around the country, studio guests and international segments. Sponsored by Enterprise Ireland, the programme will also feature up-to-date and trusted information on the range of Government, and other, supports available.

Starting in August, ReIGNITE on RTÉ Radio 1 will provide people with the inspiration, tools and knowledge to re-start their personal and professional lives. It will empower people to reassess, reboot and retrain when it comes to changing careers, restarting a business or beginning something they’ve long deferred but feel compelled to act upon now. The show will feature renowned inspirational business leaders, authors, coaches and experts to provide a weekly experience that is not only inspiring but informative.
