Wexford town will once again play host to Wexford Festival Fringe from Friday, 18th October to Sunday, 3rd November. Now in its 61st year the Fringe Festival has become one of the premier fringe events in Ireland and the 2013 Wexford Fringe Guide will be launched on Thursday, 19th September at 6 pm in Wexford Arts Centre, Cornmarket, Wexford. A night packed full of surprises including the opportunity to win one of two family ferry tickets to France.
Each year both Wexford Fringe and Opera Festivals attract circa 50,000 visitors and delivers the very best in opera, visual art, music, comedy, dance, literature, family entertainment and much more.
Sponsored by Celtic Link Ferries, this year’s Guide is packed full of amazing and exciting things to see and do. Highlights this year include Artist Simone Walsh, Pierce Turner and a veRRy Small ORchestra, Wexford Light Opera Society, Musici and the Guinness Singing and Swinging Pubs. The guide is grant aided by Fáilte Ireland and other sponsors are Wexford Arts Centre and D’Lush Café.
Enniscorthy Atheneum singer Aisling Williams will perform at the launch of the guide. Aisling is a classically trained singer and has represented Ireland in the World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles in 2008.
