Now in their sixth year, and a highly respected accolade for businesses in the county, the Wexford Business Awards has distinguished itself through a robust and fair judging process, with a large panel of judges hailing from academia, industry leaders, government bodies, CEOs and senior directors.
According to Madeleine Quirke, CEO Wexford Chamber, “The high calibre of past award winners has attracted many of Wexford’s top businesses and organisations to pledge their support to this year’s awards in recognising both established and emerging business stars. If Wexford is to encourage more business start-ups we need to showcase those companies that are leading the pack and demonstrating real innovation. The awards represent the perfect opportunity to celebrate, inspire and encourage people to continue to work hard and succeed.
“Without doubt whether you are an employee or employer, young start-up or a seasoned chief executive, it is our local workforce that is going to feed into the overall national economic recovery in Ireland. Part of that recovery is instilling confidence, the awards provide a platform to really celebrate the achievements of staff and managers who are surviving and in many cases prospering”, added Madeleine.
Businesses and organisations operating in the public and private sector, of all sizes and stages of development, are invited to enter award categories. Entry to the awards is free of charge. Applications should now be made online at www.wexfordbusinessawards.ie. Completed forms must be in BY THURSDAY, 22nd MAY NO LATER THAN 5 PM. An independent judging panel will review all applications received. Shortlisted applicants will be announced on Thursday, 29th MAY and advised of interview times. All shortlisted applicants MUST BE AVAILABLE for judging interviews on THURSDAY, 5th JUNE
The Wexford Business Awards Gala Ceremony will take place on Friday, 20th June in Whites of Wexford. Mary Kennedy, RTÉ broadcaster and Nationwide presenter, will be guest MC.
