The Wexford Rounding Trial for 1 and 2 cent coins concluded on Sunday 17th November.
The Trial took place over nine weeks in Wexford town, with more than 250 retailers participating and thousands of rounding transactions taking place every week.
Market research on the reaction of consumers and businesses in Wexford town to the Trial will be conducted in the coming weeks.
Before the end of the year, a report on the Wexford Rounding Trial will be prepared and sent to the Steering Committee of the National Payments Plan for consideration. This report will be used to inform national government policy on the rounding concept.
