Wexford Chamber joined forces with Wexford Racecourse on Wednesday 7th June to host a brand new event on the Chamber’s calendar. Businesses from across County Wexford enjoyed all the excitement of the eight thrilling National Hunt races, while socialising and networking with Chamber members, colleagues and business associates.
Guests enjoyed a glass of bubbly on arrival, canapés prepared by Phelim Byrne’s Seasuir and music by Damien Nolan. Some guests were lucky enough to even back a winner or two!
Madeleine Quirke, CEO Wexford Chamber commented, “We always try to vary what we offer Chamber Members and I have no doubt that they enjoyed the buzz of the races and soaked up the great nights fun and entertainment in a very relaxed networking environment”.
“Wexford Chamber hosts over 80 events for members annually, all with the aim of helping local companies to develop business opportunities, and the event at the racecourse was part of that series of events. The feedback from those who attended was extremely positive and I think that we may have to make the evening at the races an annual event,” concluded Madeleine.
A handmade wooden rocking horse was auctioned at the Wexford Chamber Race Night on Wednesday evening. The rocking horse, which was kindly donated, raised funds which will be given to Its Good 2 Talk. Berna Rackard, Chairperson of Friends of Its Good 2 Talk, said “We are delighted to receive this support and thank you to everybody who joined in the fun”.
