  • Regional Enterprise Development Fund – Now open for applications

Applications are now open for the recently announced €60 million Regional Enterprise Development Fund.

This competitive funding has been provided by DJEI, through Enterprise Ireland and is a key action to support the Regional Action Plan for Jobs and the Action Plan for Rural Development. The Fund is aimed at accelerating economic recovery in every part of the country by delivering on the potential of local and regional enterprise strengths. The Fund will support significant collaborative regional initiatives to build on specific industry sectoral strengths and improve enterprise capability, thereby driving job creation.

Under a competitive process, Enterprise Ireland is now seeking applications for funding under four streams with varying investment levels:

  • Major Change Projects – €2m up to €5m per project,
  • Regionally Significant Projects – €250,000 up to €2m per project,
  • Local & Community Enterprise Development Projects – €50,000 up to €250,000 per project
  • Industry Clusters – €50,000 up to €250,000 per project.

  • Brexit SME Scorecard – LEO Supports now available

The Brexit SME Scorecard run by Enterprise Ireland is now also available providing support to LEOs clients to help small and micro businesses to prepare for Brexit. The scorecard can be used by SMEs to self-assess exposure to Brexit and then generate an immediate report suggesting actions and resources  available to assist from Enterprise Ireland or LEOs to assist.   • Doing Business in South America

Chambers Ireland was recently contacted by the newly appointed Commercial Attaché in the Irish Embassy in Argentina, who requested that we circulate market intelligence information on doing business in Argentina, as the Irish government have taken renewed interest in this market as part of their new trade strategy. Please find attached.

Further, the inaugural European Investment Forum is to be held on Uruguay on 20-22 June. It is being organised jointly by their Investment Agency and the EU Delegation in Uruguay. They are expecting over 300 companies to attend on key sectors, including ITC and Global Services (200 persons are already registered). All the information can be found here.
