Spotlight 1: Niamh Hogan, Founder & CEO, Holos Skincare

Niamh Hogan is a dynamic entrepreneur who has successfully navigated multiple career changes. From restaurant management to natural health and wellness, and finally to skincare production, Niamh’s journey is a testament to her resilience and drive.

She launched Holos Skincare in 2014 after two years of dedicated research and development. Niamh’s philosophy of “just do it and learn as you go” has propelled her to great heights, including being twice shortlisted for Image Entrepreneur of the Year.

Niamh is a strong advocate for women in mid-life, encouraging them to pursue their passions. Under her leadership, Holos Skincare has become a profitable business with a strong brand and digital strategy.

Spotlight 2: Nicholas Dunne, Owner, Killowen Farm

Killowen Farm is the only Single Origin Dairy yogurt producer in Ireland. Situated at the foot of the Blackstairs Mountains in Co Wexford, Killowen Farm has been in the Dunne family for 200 years.

Owners Nicholas and Judith Dunne took over the business about 20 years ago and moved the yoghurt production to their own dairy farm in Enniscorthy. In 2022, the business unveiled a €4 million expansion that added 25 new jobs and enabled it to grow its cream cheese production.

A breakthrough deal with Irish food group Ornua opened the door for the business to export to Europe, and Killowen now ships goods to many international markets including Dubai, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. The company has consistently achieved organic sales of about 10 per cent a year.
