Serious key changes are being made to the Companies Act that will affect Business owners, John will brief you on what you need to do to protect your Business in this regard.

Some key topics that will also be discussed on the day are as follows:

• The Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement (ODCE) is now being taken over by the Corporate Enforcement Authority, which will transform into a statutory and independent agency with additional resources to investigate and prosecute white collar crime.

• The Small Companies Administrative Rescue Process (SCARP). Government has passed legislation for an expedited restricting process for small viable businesses needing to be rescued financially. Government recognised that the examinership process was way too costly for SME’s. Primary objective of the SCARP is to save a company and any jobs provided by it.
