Festive Windows Competition 2017

It’s that time of year again when Wexford’s Main Street will be thriving with visitors from near and far.  As part of this year’s Fringe Festival, Wexford Chamber in partnership with Wexford Credit Union and South East Radio, is delighted to be co-ordinating this year’s FREE TO ENTER Festive Windows Competition.

Help make the town sing, increase footfall on the main street and the side streets and embrace the festival spirit with your window display. Tying in with the three Italian Operas the theme is ‘Viva Wexford’. Windows can be dressed in any style that celebrates Italian culture, whether it be food or drink, destinations, fashion or indeed Opera.

Let’s all have fun and get people interested in what used to be one of the highlights of the Wexford Fringe Festival.  Madeleine Quirke, CEO Wexford Chamber, said: “The standard of the displays were fantastic and all the shops got involved.  I remember as a child being fascinated by the window displays and everybody promenading along the town and thoroughly enjoyed the occasion.”

“Dressing your window is a great way of showcasing the wonderful selection of independent and specialist shops we have in Wexford, which is one of the big draws for shoppers here. We are committed to helping our local retailers thrive and this is one of a number of ways in which we support small businesses.”
