Chambers Ireland has called on Government to ensure that Local Enterprise Offices (LEOs) are accessible, consistent and have the best possible impact by sticking to their core remit of supporting micro and small enterprises.
Speaking this morning, Chambers Ireland Chief Executive Ian Talbot said “Although later than expected, the opening of the new Local Enterprise Offices is welcome. The key to their success will be for Government to ensure that they are easily accessible and visible within the Local Authority and provide a consistent service across all Local Authorities. If they are to have the best possible impact then they must focus on supporting micro and small enterprises rather than broadening their reach too far and providing services already offered by other Government agencies and the private sector.”
