Paula Ronan uses her 26 years’ experience of marketing in the UK and Ireland to help clients in Wexford and further afield to increase their revenues and grow their businesses.
She works long term with a wide range of clients- in the food, engineering, professional services and manufacturing industries, amongst others – as a senior marketing advisor. This involves developing brand and marketing strategies and plans and advising as well as helping to implement them.
Paula has been a mentor with the Local Enterprise Office Wexford for over 13 years. As well as mentoring entrepreneurs for Waterford and Kilkenny LEOs and Plato Dublin, Paula has run workshops for Waterford Institute of Technology and been awarded Marketing Professional of the Year by the Marketing Institute of Ireland South East.
“To reach serious business goals, you need a well thought out marketing strategy and a plan to implement it. Think about which market segments you should be going after and what you have to offer them. How do you want to be positioned in the marketplace? Your values need to be embedded in everything you do, for them to have impact. Which social media channels and other media you communicate on and the type of activity you engage in can make a massive difference in how customers see you and whether they purchase from you or not. It’s hard to calculate the cost of lost opportunities incurred by not having a focused marketing strategy but experts agree that it is huge.” comments Paula Ronan.
Since the onset of the Covid 19 crisis, businesses have been increasing their investment in marketing. Smart businesses are operating a two speed strategy – building their brand for the long term and creating strong reasons to purchase now to ensure revenue flow in the short term.
In the past year, Paula has availed of the numerous opportunities out there to investigate new marketing tools and insights and is currently undertaking a mini (marketing only) MBA. “It’s vital to keep sticking your head out the window to see which way the wind is blowing. What is being introduced in London or Tokyo today could have real relevance to the market in Ireland in the very near future.”
