Waterford Wexford Education & Training Board (WWETB) will launch the new Solas initiative Skills to Advance at an early morning briefing in Ferrycarrig hotel, Wexford on Thursday 28th February.
This new initiative, which is part of a framework to support working lives and Enterprise Growth in Ireland marks the start of an exciting new development in further education and training provision and affords an opportunity to build stronger links with enterprise.
The policy supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to enhance productivity through developing the skills of their workforce. It will enable targeted supports for vulnerable groups in the workforce, particularly those who have lower skill levels and who require more opportunities to advance in their working lives.

Eligibility
Your Employees may qualify for up to 100% funding to complete training as part of the new initiative which is being delivered through the local ETB
Engagement by enterprise with the ETB will support SME’s to identify the skills needs of their workforce and to provide training solutions for upskilling in a flexible manner. Support will be provided to employers across all industries, in particular those experiencing changes in work practices, technology and markets.
