The recent annual Christmas party for staff at The Talbot Hotel Wexford was a fun andenjoyable occasion. It was also an opportunity to fundraise for a very special and essential service. The organization supported on this occasion was the Wexford Marine Watch.
Wexford Marine Watch provides voluntary Prevention Patrols along Wexford Quays and has just entered its 3rd successful year.
Established in December 2012, its primary objective was to try and reduce the high level of deaths by suicide in the Wexford Harbour and Bridge Areas – on of the longest bridges in Ireland today.
While the Talbot Hotel staff were enjoying their Christmas gathering, everyone was very happy to provide a donation for the valuable work that continues to be done by all involved with Wexford Marine Watch. The valuable support and care that they provide is very much appreciated by all. Donations were made throughout the night with competitions and raffles.
Funds raised totaled over €715.00. The management of The Talbot Hotel Wexford are delighted (on behalf of their staff and colleagues) to be able to make this donation to such a worthy service and will continue to support worthy charities and services in these challenging times.
