This past week marked a significant milestone for the County Wexford Chamber as President Lorcán Kinsella, alongside representatives from Chambers Ireland and various Chambers, embarked on a pivotal journey to Brussels. The mission? To officially launch the Chambers Ireland Manifesto for Europe. This document serves as a forward-thinking blueprint, laying out a roadmap for the future, especially with the upcoming EU elections on the horizon. Day 1: Navigating EU Policies and Embracing Digital Innovation
The visit commenced with an enlightening session on the Digital Single Market, led by Martin Bailey, Head of Unit at DG CONNECT. Bailey provided a detailed overview of the EU’s digital landscape, offering invaluable insights into the ongoing initiatives and future prospects.
Peter Power took the stage to discuss the Communications Networks, Content, and Technology sectors under President von der Leyen’s leadership, shedding light on the Commission’s strategies to navigate these essential areas effectively.
