A cheque presentation was made recently to one of Wexford’s most respected charity organisations. Wexford Chamber and Wexford County Council were delighted to present a cheque for €2,000 to the Wexford Hospice Homecare. Organised by Wexford Chamber, the funds were raised by those who attended the annual ‘Wexford Style’ Fashion Show in association with Donohoe Mercedes-Benz as part of a raffle draw on Saturday 3rd October in Wexford County Hall.
The money was presented to Joe Costelloe on behalf of the Wexford Hospice Homecare by County Chairman Tony Dempsey, Madeleine Quirke, CEO of Wexford Chamber and Tracey Morgan, Manager of Wexford Chamber.
Chairperson of the Wexford Hospice Homecare, Joe Costelloe, commented “I would like to say a huge thank you to Wexford Chamber for donating the proceeds of the ‘Wexford Style’ Fashion Show Raffle to the Wexford Hospice Homecare. Your donation is very much appreciated and it will be a great boost to our funds for the coming year. The money raised will help to maintain the specialist palliative care we provide 365 days a year, ensuring that people in County Wexford who are coping with a life threatening illness can access appropriate homecare and support.”
Over 50% of funds required to run the service come from voluntary donations from organisations and individuals throughout County Wexford.
Wexford Chamber would like to sincerely thank Wexford’s fashionista’s who attended the show and helped to raise such valuable funds for this year’s recipient charity and the following business who kindly sponsored prizes for the raffle draw: Clayton Whites Hotel, Ferrycarrig Hotel, Gainfort Academy, Joeleen Codd Photography, Joyces of Wexford, Kelly’s Resort Hotel & Spa, Lantern Events, Relax Ireland, Runaway Bride and Talbot Hotel Wexford.
