Wexford Chamber Golf Classic in aid of Console
Business from around the county enjoyed fabulous conditions at the recent Wexford Chamber Golf Classic in association with Console. All of the golfers thoroughly enjoyed the play at Wexford Golf Club, which was in impeccable condition, with Ferrybank Motors providing overall sponsorship of the event.
All of the teams were treated to a scrumptious BBQ by local chef Phelim Byrne in Seasuir Restaurant after completing their rounds and Sean Mythen, who has produced a CD as a fundraiser for Console, entertained everybody until late in the evening.
After the counting of scores the winning team on the day were Wexford Golf Club with 59.1 points who were presented with their prizes of four beautiful clocks from Hynes Jewellers by Captain Denis Brennan and Lady Captain Anna Sullivan and Wexford Chamber President Martin Doyle. Zurich Insurance were 2nd and their prize four vouchers from Whites Tranquility Spa, Console 3rd with 4 vouchers from Charleys Company + vouchers for Playzone and Liam Hipwell Solicitors 4th with lunch vouchers from the Stores plus umbrellas from J J Devereux. In the non-GUI section Kelly’s Hotel were 1st and were presented with 4 house hampers from Wexford Creamery and Keating Fish 2nd with four lovely Paul Maloney bowls + vouchers from O’Briens Sandwich Bar. Winner of the ‘Gross’ prize was 2 Cubed who won four green fees from Wexford G.C. and Pro-shop vouchers from B J Doyle.
