We are in the final throes of realising a dream that nobody ever thought possible. Hill Street, Dr Furlongs, has been at the heart of what we do for the past number of years. A lovely old building but not fit for purpose and a building that did not allow us to interact with our Members and allow us to offer them services and facilities which we felt should be theirs for the asking. To make a conference call, to use a modern training room or meeting room, to use a state of the art ‘hub’ with onsite wifi and printing facilities and to be associated with a Chamber that is taking the business community that extra step into the future – this is your Chamber. After 180 years of existence in Wexford town, through numerous change and sometimes immense difficulty, the new Wexford Chamber Offices will open its doors this December.
We are almost there with regard to fundraising thanks in no small way to a number of Wexford businesses and organisations but as you well know the final 20% always takes 80% of the effort. However, we believe we can raise the balance perhaps with your help, either in cash or by giving something that we need. Examples of this are window blinds, tiles, carpet/vinyl floor coverings, bathroom fittings, kitchen units, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, table/chairs, boardroom/training room flexible units/chairs, settee/chairs, coffee table and shelving units.
We already have our building designed, almost complete and paid for. We have all of our IT requirements including wifi, we have all the paint we need, all the fire, building alarms and cctv, we have stainless steel outside furniture and some carpet tiles.
Depending on the level of support, there is a very positive PR and appreciation package with your name on it.
