Microsoft Partners win at business with sports management playbook.
Gorey, Wexford: Innovate CEO Jim Hughes and former Donegal Football Manager Jim McGuinness joined forces at the Microsoft Partner Network event in Leopardstown on Thursday October 8th for an inspirational session on how to motivate a team to win.
Both Jim’s spoke passionately about how they integrate business, life and sport to inspire their staff to become leaders in their own right.
Jim Hughes explained how his ‘Croke Park’ is making Innovate unbeatable. He said that he consistently persuades his management team to think like athletes who put their bodies on the line to reach the top. This winning mentality spreads throughout Innovate giving rise to a team of truly committed IT engineers and consultants, backed up by customer support experts.
Reflecting on the success of Innovate, Jim explained how business, like sport, a game of inches is.
“Innovate stays true to our core values making our people and our customers our most important stakeholders. We find that engaging today’s talent nurtures tomorrow’s, giving us a team that leaves nothing on the pitch. We seek out those inches and each one makes us better today than we were yesterday”.
The Microsoft event was well attended by industry leaders. Both Jim Hughes and Jim McGuinness are certainly top of their game.
