Would you like to volunteer as a Wexford Welcome Ambassador?
It’s that time of year again when we put away the bucket and spade and look forward to the colder weather and the return of the Wexford Festival Opera, Wexford Fringe Festival and the Wexford Spiegeltent Festival to Wexford! The Wexford Welcome Ambassadors programme was piloted last year and was hugely successful. This year we’d like to replicate that success and have ordinary people, just like you, who love Wexford (our “ambassadors”) out on the streets offering a warm welcome and information to visitors to the town.
Would you be available for the weekend of October 24th and 25th to promote Wexford and offer a Wexford welcome to the visitors attending the Festivals?
We will be starting at 10am and finishing at 6pm at positions along the Main Street with pairs of people allocated two-hour long time slots. We have warm Visit Wexford fleece jackets available for all.
Volunteers will have a short training session on Monday 19th October at 5pm in the Wexford County Council building in Carricklawn.
