County Wexford Chamber is a trusted and accredited provider of export documentation services, officially licensed by the Department of Enterprise, Trade & Employment and Chambers Ireland to issue and certify essential trade documents.
Many countries require a Certificate of Origin to verify the place of production, growth, or manufacture of imported goods. The specific certificate required depends on the destination—for instance, Arab League member states require an Arab-Irish Certificate of Origin, while most other international markets accept a European Union Certificate of Origin.
How to Apply for a Certificate of Origin
Before applying, businesses must provide the following:
Indemnity Form – Companies must complete an Indemnity Form before accessing certification services. This form ensures compliance with standard regulations and indemnifies the Chamber against inaccuracies. The applicant must be registered in the 26 counties and listed with the Companies Registration Office. This form is available from County Wexford Chamber and must be renewed annually.
Authorised Signatories – A list of authorized company representatives must be submitted on company letterhead, including sample signatures. Only these individuals can sign applications for certification.
Banker’s Reference (Non-Members Only) – Non-members must provide a Banker’s Reference confirming the company holds an account with a recognised financial institution.
