Westgate Design, a family-run enterprise, has evolved since its 1978 inception as a rural off-farm venture in Wexford. Founded by Catherine Jordan to supplement farming and explore design, the knitwear business swiftly gained Catherine recognition as a domestic market designer. Her membership in the Wexford craft-workers group catalysed the enterprise’s growth. Recognising the need for a permanent venue to exhibit local craft, Westgate Design was established, initially housed in a heritage centre tower, giving it its name.
After prosperous years, Westgate Design relocated to Selskar in Wexford, embracing an international product range while retaining its local craft focus.
